The food courts in shopping malls do have, from our point of view, a lot of potential when it comes to enhancing user experience and more generally “beauty”. So we were thrilled when the owner of a successful Italian franchise asked us to “beautify” the appearance of his food stalls.

However, we agreed that we wouldn't start with working on a logo, but first look at internal work processes and the team culture, and review the existing culinary offering.

We conduted a series of workshops with the team to shape the new identity of the brand: what does it stand for? What culinary offerings make it unique? What do the employees need so they can thrive and contribuite to the company’s success? Where are potentials for improvement in work processes or supply chain management?

From this shared understanding, we formed a small core team of committed employees. Together, we worked out the new menu with a few signature dishes (e.g. white pizza with truffles and figs), we scouted a renowned pizzaiolo, we redesigned the guest room and developed a new branding. Also, we took care to provide a healthy work environment to employees as well as proper onboarding and skill building for new employees.

After 6 months, PastaPasta reopened its doors and provided a completely new experience to its customers and staff. Looking back, what we liked most about the project was the opportunity to work closely together with the employees in shaping their work place.
